/General Information on Data Processing. Scope of Processing of Personal Data.

We only process personal data of our users to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of personal data generally only takes place with the user’s consent. An exception applies in cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for practical reasons, and the processing is permitted by legal regulations.

Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data

  • If we obtain the data subject’s consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

  • For processing personal data necessary for performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR is the legal basis.

  • If processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.

  • If vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make processing necessary, Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR is the basis.

  • If processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest and this outweighs the interests or fundamental rights of the data subject, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR is the legal basis.

Data Deletion and Storage Duration.
Personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Storage beyond this period may occur if required by European or national legislation. Data will also be blocked or deleted when a legally mandated storage period expires, unless continued storage is required for contract fulfillment.

Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files. Description and Scope of Data Processing.

Every time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the accessing device. This includes:

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system

  • Internet service provider

  • IP address

  • Date and time of access

  • Websites from which the user’s system accesses our site

  • Websites accessed via our website

Data is stored in log files. IP addresses or other user-identifying data are not stored together with other personal data.

Legal Basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Purpose: Temporary storage of the IP address is necessary to deliver the website to the user's device.

Storage Duration: Data is deleted when no longer necessary, typically at the end of the session.

Objection and Removal: Collection of data for website provision and storage in log files is essential and cannot be objected to.

Use of Cookies.

a) Description and Scope. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements require recognition of the browser after page changes. Cookies store:

  • Language settings

  • Items in a shopping cart

  • Log-in data

We also use cookies to analyze user behavior (e.g., search terms, frequency of page views, feature use). Data is pseudonymized and not stored with other personal data. Users are informed via banner upon accessing the site and must consent to data processing.

c) Purpose: To enhance usability and improve content quality via analysis.

e) Storage Duration / Objection: Cookies are stored on the user's device and can be managed or deleted via browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

Newsletter. Description and Scope.

Users can subscribe to a free newsletter. Data collected includes:

  • IP address

  • Registration timestamp

No data is passed to third parties. Data is used exclusively for newsletter delivery.

Legal Basis Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (user consent). Purpose: To deliver newsletters and prevent misuse of email addresses.

Storage Duration: Data is stored as long as the subscription is active. Other data collected during registration is usually deleted after 7 days.

Objection: Users can unsubscribe at any time via a link in each newsletter. This also revokes data processing consent.

 

Rights of the Data Subject. Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of Access – You can request confirmation and details on your processed data.
Right to Rectification – You may request correction or completion of incorrect/incomplete data.
Right to Restriction of Processing – Under specific conditions, you may limit data processing.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") – You may request deletion of your data under certain conditions.
Right to Notification – If your data has been disclosed and is corrected, deleted, or processing restricted, you may request notification of these recipients.
Right to Data Portability – You have the right to receive your data in a common format and transmit it to another controller.
Right to Object – You may object to data processing based on Art. 6(1)(e or f) GDPR at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation.
Right to Withdraw Consent – You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.
Right Not to Be Subject to Automated Decisions – You have the right not to be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, with legal effect or significant impact, unless under contract, legal obligation, or with your consent.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority – You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe data processing violates the GDPR.
